"..proposed increase in bulk is not a minor change" - 2 ex TIDC Directors tell Trustees

To :  Trustees of Thesen Islands Homeowners Association
Re : Increasing the Bulk factor for Residential Buildings on Thesen Islands.
We were the two Thesen Islands Development Company directors closely involved in the compilation of the TI Home Owners Constitution.
The Constitution’s overall intent was to protect the property, investment and lifestyle of owners.

We have been asked to comment on the above changes to the Design Guidelines. These changes are described by the TIHOA as "minor" in an attempt to claim compliance with the Thesen Islands Homeowners Constitution.

The proposed increase in bulk is not a minor change. It will severely impact owners and their families in various ways and is in conflict with the intent of the Constitution.

The 4 year building time limit was specifically to minimise disruption and danger to owners by building contractors and heavy delivery trucks.

The increase in bulk will result in ongoing noise, dust and danger to pedestrians and cyclists, some of them children – for the foreseeable future.
